Madeira Lodge is in search of a compassionate and skilled Care Home Chef to become a valued member of our team. The ideal candidate will understand the important role that good nutrition plays in the health and happiness of our residents and will be committed to preparing meals that are as delicious as they are nutritious. You will be in charge of managing and ordering kitchen supplies, creating a variety of meal options, and ensuring all health and safety standards are upheld in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with colleagues and management to ensure the nutritional needs of each resident are met.
- Manage the ordering process for kitchen supplies, keeping precise records of deliveries.
- Uphold rigorous health and safety standards within the kitchen.
- Develop a varied and rotating menu that caters to the dietary needs and preferences of all residents.
- Manage the kitchen staff rota, ensuring all shifts are fully staffed.
- Oversee the kitchen budget.
- Prepare a range of wholesome meals that satisfy the unique dietary needs and tastes of our residents.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience in a Chef role.
- Relevant qualification in food preparation and cooking.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage a team effectively.
