How we use technology to support every resident’s care journey
Our approach to using technology focusing is how we can streamline our processes and operations to enable our care teams to spend more time with our residents. To achieve this, we have invested in a wide range of platforms, tools, and systems, including:
- We utilise technology to digitise all paperwork and processes which frees up our care teams to invest more time in focusing on an individual resident’s care needs supporting our residents and their families.
- Every member of our care team has a singular device that has access to everything they need including details of who is on duty, all individual resident’s care needs and care plans, voice recording capability to capture and record key information on care activities, and the capability to capture medical information such as fluid and food intake and resident medical records.
- Our care teams have access to the National Activity Providers Association’s (NAPA) lifestyle portal that is used by carers to select and plan a variety of activities that promote engagement and well-being.
- Residents across our homes have access to the internet and entertainment through smart TVs, along with the ability to use devices to make video calls (e.g. FaceTime).
Partnering with technology specialists
Collaboration is key to our approach to delivering a high standard of care and supporting individuals, residents, and communities through the care journey. This extends to how we partner with organisations who support our management and care teams across all our homes to use technology to deliver effective and high-quality care to our residents, their families, and the communities we serve.
Stonefield Advisory: using data to support effective care delivery
Data and analytics play a crucial role in enabling our care and management teams to deliver a high standard of care to every resident and their families. Partnering with Stonefield Advisory, we have developed an innovative platform that tracks and monitors key data for all residents. We then provide families with secure access to this data to enable them to view key metrics on how their loved ones are being cared for in our homes. This data is also used by our care teams, in conjunction with the in-person care they provide, to identify patterns and provide proactive and personalised care plans for every resident.
Person-Centred Software: digital systems to manage our data
We have partnered with Person Centred Software to transition our business from traditional paper-based care records to digital records to enable our teams to operate more efficiently and effectively. Our care teams utilise their platform to manage all resident medical and health records.
Borderless
Recruiting the right people into our business is critical to ensuring we continue to deliver a high standard of care. Our management and care teams work with Borderless – an immigration technology platform – to support our recruitment process and identify new talent. Borderless provides us with access to their technology platform and ensures we have in place Home Office compliance, visa processing, sponsor licences, recruitment and more.
NexGen: our IT support partner
We work with NexGen IT to deploy a suite of Microsoft products and technology to enable our teams to collaborate and communicate across all parts of our business. They also provide frontline support to our teams across all sites to provide support on using all our IT systems effectively.
